- Haddon House Farm
-
- Farmed from 2,500 B.C. (come and
see the evidence of the deserted medieval village of Nether Haddon)
this farm nestles in a magical valley where romance and dynasties
have made history...
Film directors want Haddon's atmosphere for their films and bring
their camera crews, top-class actors and actresses to re-create
the majesty of by-gone times... most recently Cate Blanchett
and Joseph Fiennes in "Elizabeth I."
- FABULOUS SCENERY: We are at the
heart of The Peak District National Park. Providing the vistas
for memorable weekends. Our home has great views of near and
distant hills, stone walls, leafy field margins and mile-high
skies.
-
- We have maps and guide books for
you to borrow, and as much "chat" and informed advice
where to go as you'd like. Access to public footpaths from our
farm.

- THE APPEAL OF A FARM: This is
an award-winning mixed farm set in an enchanted valley, where
our animals graze peacefully next to a clear flowing river, lambs
frolic in warm spring sunshine.
-
- We are now working with the RSPB
to encourage birdlife. We have an important lapwing population,
buzzards, owls, swallows. Also other animals include badgers
and foxes, who enjoy the river side meadow habitat.

- We love the Peak District. There
is so much variety in a relatively compact place. Once here,
there is no need to sit in traffic queues, or even touch your
car keys again.
-
- Whatever the tastes and timetable
of the individual visitor, there is more than enough here to
captivate the imagination and senses, and blow the cobwebs from
a work-worn spirit. Our farmhouse B&B is the place to stay
because it is in the heart of things, enjoys great views, is
indulgently comfortable, and the food, welcome and atmosphere
is all you'd want.
-
- We really want you to enjoy your
precious days away from it all. Give me ring, and I'll be pleased
to chat with you about availability and prices, and your hopes
for your time away.
